Thailand 2012I am a teacher, researcher, writer, singer and mother undertaking research into transnational Chinese families and their children’s multilingual socialization. I lived in China with my husband, Peiman, and two kids, Roya (10) and Milad (7) for 4 years and began my PhD in TESL at UBC in the fall of 2012. I will be moving back to China in the summer of 2014 as part of my PhD research. I am passionate about the Baha’i Faith, the study and teaching of languages, research about language, culture, identity, moral education and teacher professional development, travel, and music, especially flamenco.

This picture was taken at my favourite place in the world: Phi Phi Island, Thailand.
